Betsy del Monte, FAIA, LEED BD+C, has been invited by AIA President Carl Elefante, FAIA, to join a select seven-member AIA delegation at the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco September 12-14. For her role, Betsy was selected to represent the architectural profession and to and return from the summit with a set of scalable best design practices.
The goal of the summit is to bring together a cross-section of leaders and professionals from around the world to, as the summit moniker states, “Take Ambition to the Next Level.” The summit will be a moment to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of states, regions, cities, companies, investors, and citizens with respect to climate action. It will also serve as a launchpad for deeper worldwide commitments and accelerated actions from the global community to halt climate change in accordance with the historic Paris Agreement.
In addition to her advocacy, Betsy has helped many clients identify where their firms stand on the sustainability spectrum and offering effective strategies and best practices for achieving their sustainability goals.
