Visionary. Strategic. Collaborative.

"Excellence in design is embedded in everything we do—from process and client engagement to teamwork and innovation. It’s not just about outcomes but how we think, collaborate, and build a practice that lasts. I focus on merging technical precision with bold creativity to help shape the future of design."

ABOUT SCOTT

Scott Kelsey brings decades of leadership experience to Cameron MacAllister Group, providing strategic guidance to firms seeking innovation, growth, and lasting impact. He works closely with leaders to refine their strategic direction, strengthen their design legacy, and navigate change with confidence.

In addition to his consulting work, Scott remains a principal at CO Architects, where he continues to support key projects and firm initiatives. He previously served as managing principal for nearly 15 years, playing a pivotal role in advancing the firm’s model of practice and balancing technical pragmatism with creative design innovation. During this period of transformation and growth, he helped CO Architects remain true to its progressive spirit of a “practice into perpetuity.”

Since joining CO Architects (formerly Anshen + Allen) in 1987, Scott has been a leader in design and programming for health sciences education, science and technology, healthcare, and civic facilities nationwide. He is nationally recognized for his expertise in planning and designing medical schools across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Driven by a deep passion for reimagining learning and research environments, his work supports curricular evolution, emerging pedagogies, and interprofessional collaboration.

A respected thought leader, Scott has spoken at national forums, including Tradeline, the American Institute of Architects, and the Society for College and University Planning. He is director emeritus and former chair of the Global Design Alliance and former chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Oregon College of Design.
