ABOUT LORI

Lori brings 15 years of experience as an architect, structural engineer, and conservator to Cameron MacAllister Group. She is a renowned leader, advocate, and educator in sustainable stewardship of the built environment. Her personal mission is to break down silos between disciplines and across the building sector to leverage the built environment toward a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable future.

Licensed as both an architect and professional engineer, Lori provides Cameron MacAllister Group clients with a broad range of knowledge to help them see the great potential of existing buildings. She brings a balance of technical expertise and strategic thinking skills to her work with clients that lead to implementable outcomes. She works with firms to embed climate action into both organizational structure, staff development, and project delivery processes for measurable and consistent change.

Lori’s award-winning work leverages connections between the built and natural environments for a more equitable, resilient, and sustainable future. She is a frequent speaker on carbon mitigation and climate justice topics through building reuse at the local, national, and international levels. She is also a co-developer of the CARE Tool, which estimates the carbon benefits of reusing and retrofitting buildings. Lori’s research in establishing carbon accounting methods and standards of practice for existing and historic buildings has been featured in the Journal of Architectural Conservation and Architect Magazine. She has also presented her findings on stage at the UN COP27 climate conference.

In 2022, Lori received the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Young Architects Award.
