Visionary. Collaborative. Impactful.

"Great design is a collaborative process—built on trust, understanding, and a shared vision. The most meaningful projects come from strong client partnerships, creating spaces that inspire, connect, and serve their communities."

ABOUT BOB

With a career spanning over fifty years, Bob has dedicated himself to addressing design issues that shape our built and civic environment. At Cameron MacAllister Group, he will leverage his experience and expertise to help clients navigate complex challenges and achieve impactful design solutions.

Prior to this, Bob spent over three decades leading ZGF Partnership’s strategic, financial, and business development operations while overseeing many major projects. As Partner in Charge, he played a pivotal role in transformative initiatives such as PDX Next, the expansion of Portland International Airport, the University of Colorado Anschutz Health Sciences Building, and multiple projects for the U.S. Department of State.

Under his leadership, ZGF earned more than 200 design awards, including the AIA National Firm Award and the prestigious Presidential Award. He also guided the firm’s expansion from a single office in Portland, Oregon, growing from 59 employees to seven offices nationwide with over 750 employees.

Beyond his leadership, Bob has been an advocate for design excellence within and beyond the profession. As Chair and long-time Executive Committee member of the AIA Large Firm Round Table, he strongly encouraged and facilitated dialogue among firms on management, design, and business challenges facing the profession, including sustainability, diversity, equity, and policy at the local, state, and national levels.

His commitment to civic and educational institutions is equally significant. Bob has provided leadership to numerous organizations and currently serves on the boards and advisory boards of three higher education institutions. In addition, he teaches and lectures at several institutions and holds positions on three national and international corporate boards.

Bob received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Willamette University and a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado’s College of Environmental Design.
