CMG’s Mary Ann Lazarus Selected As 2018 LEED Fellow

Mary Ann Lazarus, FAIA, LEED BD+C has just been named a 2018 LEED Fellow by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). Fellows are exceptional practitioners and leaders within the green building community and have demonstrated mastery of the technical application of LEED, the world’s most widely used green building rating system. Mary Ann is one of only 25 LEED Fellows selected.

“We are honored and proud to have Mary Ann as one of this year’s LEED Fellows,” said Mahesh Ramanujam, president and CEO of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and GBCI. “The LEED Fellow designation recognizes people who have made significant contributions to LEED and the green building movement over the course of their careers. Mary Ann has demonstrated exemplary leadership and made a significant impact in moving USGBC’s mission forward. It is only because of leaders like Mary Ann that I know our vision of green buildings for all within this generation can become a reality.”

Mary Ann has 40 years of industry experience, and at Cameron MacAllister Group, she works with firms to integrate greater sustainability and resiliency outcomes throughout their practice. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Washington University in St. Louis and serves on the Advisory Board of the Resilient Design Institute. In previous roles, she founded the sustainable design initiative at HOK, a global design firm whose leadership helped propel sustainability from fringe activity to mainstream. Mary Ann’s devotion to sustainability has extended outside her professional work through her role as an author, lecturer, community advocate, and volunteer at the local and national level.
